    Good night
Has anyone managed to install the Red Giant 2025.2.1 plugins?
I followed the steps in the article but I can’t run the script. When I run:
    sudo sh /path/to/script
    it tells me:

    zsh: event not found: /bin/bash
    lejisan@Mac-Pro-de-Leandro ~ % sudo sh /path/to/script
    :
sh: /path/to/script: No such file or directory
    lejisan@Mac-Pro-de-Leandro ~ %

Could someone give me a hand?

I have a 2013 Mac Pro with macOS Sonoma 14.7.3

    Thanks in advance, best regards

    lo script si applica così:

si apre il terminale, si batte “sudo sh” poi si batte uno spazio e si trascina dentro al terminale “maxon_2025.2.1_patch.sh”, poi return.

Is there a way of running the batch? I tried bash, but still unable to run the effects. It shows correctly patched.
I think I’m missing something on the colours part of running the script.
    Any tips?

Won’t install on Big Sur 11.7.10… even if the warning say it can.
“An error has occurred. This software can only be launched on macOS 11.7.10 or later.”

It’s not clear about instructions. Can you explain better? What do we have to do with the “maxon_2025.2.1_patch.sh” file?

Are you all dumb and stupid???
Run script with: sudo sh /path/to/the/fucking/place/where/the/script “maxon_2025.2.1_patch.sh”/are/located/in/your/computer…
or Write “sudo sh” followed by a space and then drag and drop the “maxon_2025.2.1_patch.sh” script, then press Enter.
    Thats it, stupid animals!

Doesn’t really work. The app is installed and activated, but all plugins are missing and therefore cannot be used. Although it appears that the plugins have been installed, they are not. So this app is useless.

Do this instead of what instructed in point 3:

    – Open Terminal and type chmod +x
Do not press Enter after typing it. Leave it like that and drag the patch file to terminal next to what you just typed

    – Press enter

    – Now that it “chmoded” the file, drag the file again to Terminal and press Enter.

    – It should work now. It did for me.

Master is a really nice guy, arrogant and unfriendly. Even if one completely understands how it works, he is condescending in a very despicable way. Keep up that disgusting attitude and you will come a long way….

    Install the plugs you need
close Maxon app and allow connections if asked
Place the script in your app folder if you like.
Then in terminal type sudo sh /

It is running now after a bit of work. The key is – after running the script in terminal- to turn on the Red Giant agent in Settings – General – items..

The license is not working. Even though it was successfully patched, the unlicensed version is still out there.

This worked perfectly for me. (Macbook Pro, M1 Pro, MacOs Sequoia) Here’s how:

    1. Install Maxon App. (You’ll need to sign in. Just create a Maxon if you don’t have one.)

    2. Block all internet traffic. Either by using Little Snitch, or turning off wifi/ethernet.

    3. Install Red Giant plugins.

    4. Run the script by:
    a. open the Terminal app from Applications/Utilities
    b. In the Terminal window type “sudo sh” (remove the quotation marks and use all lower case letters) then press SPACE.
    c. drag the script file (maxon_2025.2.1_patch.sh) from Finder into the Terminal window.
    d. Press ENTER.

    5. MacOS might give you an error that Terminal wants to change an app/program. Follow the prompts to give Terminal access to changing apps/programs. If you get this error, you’ll have to run the script again.

    6. Make sure the Maxon app is turned on as a Startup Item in System Preferences. (This should happen automatically.)

    7. I don’t know if this will continue to work without Little Snitch blocking the plugin’s internet traffic, so I would probably not do any of this without having Little Snitch installed. But I could be wrong, so please comment if you did this without Little Snitch and it continues to work after a reboot.

    You’re done.
